> Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria.
> On October 1st, we celebrated 66 years as a nation. 66 years of resilience, of survival, of hope that refuses to die.
> But as the celebrations faded, Nigerians asked one honest question: What kind of 70th anniversary do we want? Another ceremony, or a country that finally works in our Local Government?
> Last week in Part 2 of this series, we talked about Governance That Works. This week, as we reflect at 66, we answer WHO must make it work?
> For 66 years, we invited our youth as cheerleaders to campaign grounds, our women as crowd-fillers, and our Persons With Disabilities as an afterthought for photo-ops.
> At 66, Nigeria is too old for tokenism.
> #774Structure says: What you don’t deliberately include, you deliberately exclude.
> That is why our 774 Structure Internship is not just “open.” It is intentionally designed for the Nigeria we want at 70:
> 50% Youth, 30% Women, 5% Persons With Disabilities. Not as a favour. As a formula for winning and for governing.
> Think of it: A party that ignores women cannot win in 774 LGAs where women are 50% of voters. A Local Council without youth cannot understand 70% of its population. A government without PWDs violates the 2019 Disability Act that this same country signed.
> As we look beyond 66, our citizens are not asking for more promises. They are asking for a seat at the table in their own LGA. Inclusion is how we restore trust.
> This week, we move from Independence talk to Inclusion Audit.
> In your LGA Secretariat: Is there a ramp?
> In your Party Ward: Is a young woman your Financial Secretary?
> In your LGA Budget: Is there a line for PWDs?
> If the answer is no, you don’t have a structure. You have a gathering.
> At 66, we have built enough gatherings. It is time to build the bench.
> We built the bench in Week 1. We defined what works in Week 2. This Week 3, at 66, we decide WHO builds Nigeria to 70.
> Next Week (Part 4): Financing The Bench – How We Fund 774 Civic Academies Without Government Money.
> This article is Part 2 of the 5-Part #774 Structure Series. As Nigeria marks 66 years, read Part 3: Nigeria @66 – Inclusion Is Not Charity, dropping Oct 9th.
